Hello! I am looking for family / genealogical information regarding the HOATSON and COLLINS families of MICHIGAN. In particular I am trying to get information regarding either Lawrence Collins (born in Greenland Michigan in 1844) or his wife Dolly Hoatson Collins. Dolly Hoatson came from Wanlockhead Scotland to Canada in 1853 with her father Thomas Hoatson. She had two brothers who became very famous in the copper mining industry in Calumet Michigan and Bisbee Arizona: Captain James and Captain Thomas Hoatson. She married Lawrence Collins in Michigan.
