I have very little knowledge of my Great Grandparents ancestory, but post it here in hopes someone may know of this family.. as there are many buried at the Collins family cemetery on Lower/Little Caney Valley Road, Tazewell TN. But neary nothing known or remembered of them. Thank you. Collins, John L. 6/15/1870 - 3/5/1948 s/o Tip Collins ?? (may be short for Tipton) mother unknown sp. Nancy Ann Mullins 4/12/1876 - 3/13/1951 d/o William M. Posey and Eliza Mullins John was raised by someone else as his father was blind, (possibly Atkins or Posey Family) Nancy used her mothers name not her fathers... I know nothing about this Mullins line ..or the Posey line ... There are Posey's buried in the Collins cemetery who may be related family oral history state both my Collins and Mullins lines of Melungeon Origin ,Nancy's family possibly originated near the TN-VA line prior to ending up near Claiborne CHILDREN OF JOHN AND NANCY COLLINS all born and raised Lower/ Little Caney Valley - Tazewell TN There was a child not listed that died due to an accident - name not known by me Bob Collins sp.
