I am looking for info on my gg grandfather Obediah Collins born about 1828 in NC, probably around Surry Co. I am not sure who his parents were, but I believe he is the grandson of Obediah and Patsy Collins of NC. After the war, he ventured up to KY. In 1870, he is in Bell Co., KY married to a younger woman named Elizabeth _____ . He was about 20 years older than Elizabeth and most likely a second wife. I believe he was married previously to a lady named Mary Ann and that they had several children. Obediah and Elizabeth had a son named William Lewis Collins born about 1875 in Bell Co. William was my great grandfather. He was killed in 1901 in Bell Co., KY In 1880, Obediah and William are in Clay Co., KY., but Elizabeth is not there. In Sept. 1880, Obediah married Lucy ______. I believe they had at least one child maybe 2. In 1900, Lucy is married to a Hensley, with a son who's last name is Collins. I don't know if Obediah had died or if they divorced. I have very little to go on, so any help at all will be appreciated. Thanks for any help at all, Penny
