The tow families were on record as having arrived in Texas on the same day as the James P. Collins family. A. S. and J. P. Ainsworth were probably brothers of Eliza Ainsworth. Christopher had a land grant in Barnwell, South Carolina in 1797 and a land grant in Mississippi about 1803. Christopher, Rachel and nine boys appear on tax list in Mississippi in 1812.
