Not my line, but may help someone. Downers Grove Reporter (IL), Wednesday, May 20, 1998 Pg 22 - Ruth E. Collins - Grave-side services for Ruth E. Collins, nee Evans, were held Saturday, May 16, 1998, at the Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien. The Rev. Donald Zimmerman of the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove officiated. Mrs. Collins died Wednesday, May 13, 1998. A longtime resident of Downers Grove, she was born in Chicago on Feb. 6, 1917. She had worked as an elevator operator in a department store for a number of years. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Collins. She is survived by her sons Robert E. (Nancy) Collins and David K. Collins; her daughters Judith (the late George) Hollister, Nancy Collins and Susan Collins; her sister Dorothy (Bailey) Canfield; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was at the Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien. Arrangements were made by the Westmont Funeral Chapels.
