Dear Shannon, Because of the name Harvey, and the St. Louis connection, I am forwarding this information on my grandfather: Fred Harvey Collins, said to have been born in East St. Louis, IL or St. Louis MO, in 1882. My birth certificate says MO, and my mother's says IL. The repository in IL says that there is no birth certificate for a Fred or Frederick Harvey Collins. There is a period after Fred. on my mother's birth certificate, so the full name may be Frederick Harvey Collins. Fred married Maud Yake about 1906. Two children, Alice Edith or Edith Alice (my mother) and Fred, JR. Please let me know if you see a possible connection here. Your John Harvey born 1822 could be Fred's grandfather ? Lafayette his father ? Bill Blackburn, Mt. Shasta, CA Shannon Smyrl wrote: > My Great-great-grandfather John Harvey Collins was born in Wilson County, > Tenn in 1822.
