SMITH, Mary Elizabeth, 63, of Radford, died Monday, January 19, 1998, at her home. She was born in Giles County on April 17, 1934, to the late Price and Lucille Williams Collins. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Samuel Smith. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and Eddie Lang of Roanoke and Wanda Younce of Christiansburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Donna Collins of Blacksburg; a stepson, Harvey Smith of Blacksburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Maggie and Charles Hardymon of Christiansburg; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 23, 1998, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after 1 p.m. Thursday, January 22, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg.
