Madelyn M. Collins RICHWOOD -- Madelyn M. Gibson Collins, 80, of Richwood died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at the home of her daughter, Connie Joseph of Leesburg, Va., after a short illness. She was a Methodist. Also surviving: daughter, Sharon DeRito of Martinsburg; son, Edward F. Collins of Leesburg; sisters, Gladys Sutton of Richwood, Jean Lofflin of Lewistown, Pa.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Memorial Park, Richwood, with the Rev. Michael Ford officiating. Source-Charleston Daily Mail,Charleston, WV Mamie Miller Mamie Gibbs Miller, 63, 505 Ferry Road, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998 at Danville Regional Medical Center after four years of declining health. She was in the hospital for one week. Born April 25, 1934 in Caswell County, N.C., she was the daughter of Robert Archie Gibbs and Jennie Mae COLLIN Gibbs. On April 12, 1952, she married Lawrence E. Miller, who died Feb. 17, 1994. She was of Baptist faith. She lived most of her life in Danville. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence V. Miller of Richmond and Robert C. Miller of Danville; three brothers, Robert Gibbs, Jesse Gibbs and Wayne Gibbs; seven sisters, Mary Hazelwood, Virginia Shelton, Geraldine Anderson, Gladys Carter, Carolyn Gibbs, Marie Hodges, and Irma Allen; a grandson, Joshua Lawrence Miller of Richmond; a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Miller of Danville; and special friends, Robin Alcorn, Calvin Lee Wood and Kenneth Ray Miller. The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. today at Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel by the Rev. Dr. John H. LaRue. Interment will be at National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
