    3. Carl R. Collins GRAFTON _ Carl Raymond Collins, 70, of East Knotts Ave., died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at his residence. He was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Monongalia County, a son of the late Jess Collins and Ada Collins Collins. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Jane Abel Collins; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl David and Peggy Collins, Shinnston, Jeffrey Lee and Patricia Collins and John Randall and Tammy Collins, all of Grafton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Donald Zecco, Shinnston, Teresa and David Mayle, Jeannie and Joseph Bellair, all of Grafton, and Lisa and Chuck Wilt, Wilmington, Ohio; three brothers, Jesse Ray Collins, Massillon, Ohio, Marshall Collins, Grafton, and Glen Collins, Houston, Texas; five sisters, Freda Marquess, Thornton, Alice Rice, Oakwood, Texas, Helen Gray, Notasulga, Ala., Nancy Goerlich, Elkins, and Linda Collins, Lexington, Ky.; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one daughter and one granddaughter both in infancy and two sisters, Margaret Bolyard and Emma Collins. Mr. Collins was a retired coal miner having been employed at Eastern Associated Coal Corporation of Grant Town. He was a member of the UMWA, Local 4047, District 31 and was associated with the Grafton Bapitst Church. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Davis Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, with the Rev. Don Harward officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
