COLLINS, Lucille Martha, 77, of Pembroke went Home to be with her Lord after a long and courageous battle with illness from Roanoke Memorial Hospital Monday, January 5, 1998. Born in Bluefield, W.Va. on February 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Benton and Pearl Griner Williams of Hoges Chapel. Lucille attended Pembroke Christian Church. Surviving are her husband, Marcus C. Collins; two sons, James D. Collins of Salem and Paul Beverly Collins of Pembroke; one daughter Janet D. Dudash of Blacksburg; two brothers, Doug Williams of Phoenix, AZ and Randolph Williams of Pearisburg; one sister, Jo May W. Marshall of Narrows; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 9, 1998 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with the Rev. Barry Franklin and the Rev. Eddie Kendall and the Rev. E. C. Redmond officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday evening.
