Jan. 30, 1998 OBITUARIES Glenville woman struck by car, killed GLENVILLE - Shannon Lea Collins, 22, of Glenville, formerly of Calhoun County, died Wednesday from injuries received in an automobile-pedestrian accident on Route 33/119, Glenville. She had parked her car along the eastbound side of the road at about 3 p.m., a Glenville city police spokesman said. She was on her way to visit friends across the road when she apparently stepped in front of an oncoming vehicle, he said. She was a native of Mesa, Ariz., a graduate of Calhoun County High School and a student at Glenville State College. Surviving: father, Michael E. Collins of Big Springs; mother and stepfather, Patricia and Tom Mowery of Creston; sisters, Sabrina ann Collins of Glenville, Jennifer Lea Mowery of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brother, Daniel Mowery of Salt Lake City; maternal grandmother, Betty Simms of Big Bend; maternal step-grandmother, Frankie Mowery of Creston; peternal grandmother, Yvonne Collins of Big Springs. Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial will be in Hunt Cemetery, near Big Bend.
