Mr. Richard Sanborn, of Springfield, NH., has kindly furnished much information relative to the descendents of Joseph Collins, Amesbury, Mass. He says Deacon John Collins, the son of Joseph Collins above maned, was born in Amesbury, Mass. or in that vicinity, Feb 14th, 1740, and married Sarah Chellis Oct 1st, 1761, by whom he had the following issue, viz; Winthrop, born ..Jan 10, 1763 Charles, " ..Oct 05, 1764 (died in Springfield , NH John, born ..Apr 06, 1767 Cartert, " ..Aug 05, 1769 Joseph, " ..May 06, 1771 Enoch, " ..Jan 22, 1773 Emos, " ..Sept 20, 1775 (died in Springfield, NH., May 05, 1817) Sarah, born ............Jun 20, 1779 Anna, " ............March 18, 1781 Seth, " Feb 15,1785 Anna " Dec 31, 1789 Deacon John Collins died in Springfield, NH Sept 11th 1814. Many of the descendant of Dea. John Collins are now living NH; others are living in Vermont, New York an Massachusetts. E.R. Collins, of Troy, NY., writes that the Rev. Samuel Collins(born Sept 17, 1748) was ordained in Sandown, NH ., Dec 27, 1780. He married Betsey Hacket, of Salisbury, Mass., (who was born Oct 23, 1764,) by whom he had the following issued, viz: Robert b ..June 23, 1782 Samuel b ..May 23, 1784 Abigail b ..Feb 14, 1786 Priscilla b...March 14,1788 Julius b...Sept 21,1790 Betsey b ..June 21, 1793 James b...March 24, 1796 Meranda b..
