I am looking for information on the family of Daniel COLLINS. Daniel was born in Fletcher, Ohio (Miami County) around November 10, 1867 to William and Elizabeth (RALSTON) COLLINS. Daniel's first marriage was to Ida Belle (DAVIS) COLLINS on May 21, 1891. Second marriage to Sarah B. (ROUSH) ALLEN COLLINS. First marriage produced a daughter Mary, born in 1892, who later married William I. NESBITT. Second marriage included a step-son, William ALLEN. Mary and William NESBITT are my grandparents and I have information to present day on that part of the family. The only things I know about the COLLINS family from this point back are the following: William and Elizabeth (Ralston) COLLINS' had the following children: 1. Daniel born around 1867; died 1929 in Sidney (Shelby County), Ohio 2. Ira born around 1872; died 1946 3. Arza born around 1875; died 1936 4. William born around 1877; date of death unknown 5. Hannah born around 1884; date of death unknown 6. Delia died before 1916 according to Elizabeth's obituary 7. Oscar died before 1916 according to Elizabeth's obituary William and Elizabeth RALSTON COLLINS' marriage license was granted in Miami County, Ohio in 1866. The 1880 Shelby County, Ohio census shows William and Elizabeth COLLINS living in Dinsmore Township at that time. William COLLINS died in Montra, Shelby County, Ohio in 1907 and is buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Anna and Jackson Center, Ohio. William's tombstone shows that he served in Company A, 110th Ohio Volunteers. No dates are shown on the tombstone. Ohio Death Certificate Information indicates that Elizabeth is also buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery but no tombstone has been found (the cemetery was vandalized several years ago and a group of genealogists put all the tombstone pieces they could find back together). Same goes for Daniel's wife Ida Belle, whose obituary shows that she's buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery but there is no tombstone and I've found no death record to-date. William COLLINS' obituary shows no information regarding his family beyond the fact that still living were his wife, four sons, one daughter, three grandchildren (I don't know who they were besides my grandmother), brothers, sisters and a host of relatives and friends - which indicates to me that he had brothers and sisters but I don't know who they are! I've found tons of information on the Ralston family but none of the COLLINS family. Any help would be appreciated. Darlene Roll
