    1. [COLLINS] Stephen Collins b. 1802 Kentucky

    3. I believe Stephen Collins who was born somewhere in Kentucky may have married his first wife also from Kentucky and moved to Henry County, Illinois (near Weller)where daughters, Emiline b. 1841 and Clarissa, b. 1834 as well as other children were born to the couple. I'm not sure if Clarissa was actually a sister but the two women married their respective spouses within a few days of one another, and are shown living in close proximity all of their married lives. Clarissa married an Irishman named Luke Carrigan and Emiline married an Italian immigrant by the name of John Thomas Belt. The women's mother (my gggrandmother) may have died around 1848-49 as Stephen married Ann Fenn (b. 1830 in Illinois) in Henry County Illinois in 1849. The Belts, The Carrigans and Stephen and Annie Collins along with several children all removed by covered wagons to Jackson Twp, Macon County, Missouri around 1866 where they lived out their lives. Emiline passed away in 1876 and her husband John Belt is said to have later married her younger sister, Nancy (Jane) Collins who was born in 1850 in Illinois. I cannot find an 1850 or 1860 Census for a Stephen Collins from Kentucky, living in Illinois where all his children were born. If anyone has information of knowledge on this family, I would appreciate hearing from them. Emiline Collins was my great-great grandmother and I would like to trace this line but have so little to go on.
