This is my first post to the list. I hope I am doing it properly. I am looking for anyone that might have any connections to any of the following Collins line. Jefferson Collins - my great grandfather (may possibly have a middle name of Samuel). He was born in Va. or W. Va. in Aug. 1844. He was married to a Mary E. Peterson. This info. I have from my grandfather's death certificate. Mary Peterson was born Aug. 1868 possibly Indiana. They had the following children that I can account for. Emeline (Nancy) b. 1867 Ia. Vanettie or Janetta? b. 1868 Ia. Alice b. May 1870 Wi. James A. b. 1872 Ia. Della M. b. Mar. 1874 Ia. Married Henry Lewis) Lillian (Lily) b. 1877 Willard S. b. May 12, 1879 Mo. ( My grandfather) Married Bessie B. Baker May 5, 1912. Died July 14, 1938 Okla. Buried McDonald Co., Mo. Emma E. b. June 1881 Mo. Elbertus E. (Albertus) b. April 1886 Mo.RTetta Mamie b. Sept. 9, 1888 Married Myrtle Mary Harnar Dec. 10, 1910. Retta Mamie b. Sept. 9, 1888. Married Curtis Marion Harnar Feb. 13, 1909. Died Sept. 30, 1978 Santa Clara, Ca. I have been at a stand still the past couple of years on Jefferson Collins. According to family info. he died after 1915. He was still living in 1910, on the Mo. census. I think his wife Mary Peterson died abt. 1905. Jefferson was listed as Wd. on the 1910 census. I have sent to Mo. and Okla. for death certificates on him and have had no lluck. I think Jefferson's father was Cline Collins b. abt. 1805 Va. migrated to Wi. after 1850 and before 1860. Hoping to hear from anyone with any connections or info. Thanks. Raye Dean
