A.G. Collins is a son of John B. Collins of Lauderdale Co. Ms. His line is: AG Collins>John B. Collins>Nathaniel Madison Collins>Elisha Collins of Virginia and Kentucky>Joseph Collins of Virginia(confirmed) with evidence of ancestry to the early Collins's of Virginia who came in the 1600's from Maidstone, Kent England. We have a dna study on "our" Collins family, and generally speaking the haplogroup is I2b1a. We have been interested in relationships to "Collins" in the North East but have never found a "cousin" up there. I've been doing "Collins" genealogy since around 1980 and it has the usual bumps, turns, accuracies, and inaccuracies as do other suname projects. It's my mothers ancestry.
