I've "rescued" a group of photographs belonging to the SPECK Family. Based on limited research I was able to locate a considerable amount of information regarding the family and have included that information below along with details of each of the 13 photographs/items: Grace A. SPECK TALLMAN, taken in 1915, no studio or location, in her teens or 20's (2 copies of this photograph with slightly different mountings) . Grace A. SPECK was b. May 1888 in Illinois and married Harry Harper TALLMAN (b. 13 Jan 1884 in Rock Creek Township, Carroll Co. IL-d.1974). Mr. & Mrs. K. TALLMAN and family, taken in 1900's, family of 5 on porch, no studio or loc Memorial Obit for Grace A. TALLMAN, died 28 Sept in Seattle, WA age 86 Grace A. SPECK TALLMAN, taken 1915, in teens or 20's, no studio or location Grace SPECK as Portia in Shakespeare's Merchants of Venice, 1900's, in 30's Grace SPECK TALLMAN, in teens, Clayton's Sister, no studio or loc Grace SPECK with unidentified male at Sand Slough on Camping Trip, 1900's Frank B. and Laura Ann SPECK, noted as "Grandpa and Grandma SPECK", no studio or loc, 1900's, couple in their 50's or 60's . Frank B. SPECK was b. 1858 in Maryland and married Laura A. CARTER (1864-1948). Frank died March 1930 in Yakima County, WA and is buried in the Old Sunnyside Cemetery in Sunnyside, WA. His wife Laura A. CARTER SPECK was the daughter of Sherwood Ellis CARTER (1836-1921) and Mary Ann COLLINS (1842-1886) and had 5 siblings including, Charles S.; Ella Belle; Cora B.; William; and Wallace Edward CARTER, all born between 1866 and 1877. Laura died in 1948 in Yakima Co, WA and is buried in the Old Sunnyside Cemetery in Sunnyside, WA. Laura Ann SPECK and unidentified boy, Stone's Studio in Lanark, IL, 1900's, in her 40's with boy about 4 years Mr. & Mrs. Frank B. SPECK with Clayton and Grace, 1890's, couple in their 40's, kids in teens, no studio or loc . Clayton Sherwood SPECK was b. 3 Sept 1885 in Illinois and married Grace Darling ROWLAND (1888-1974) who was the daughter of Christian ROWLAND and Sally LECHTY or LICHTY. Clayton and Grace had two children including, James Rowland SPECK b. 1917 and Peggy Ann SPECK b. 1921. Clayton SPECK died 12 Feb 1953 in Yakima, WA and is buried in the Old Sunnyside Cemetery in Sunnyside, WA. Frank B.
