I will put up this request again in hopes that there may be someone new out there with info that may help me. I am researching John Henry COLLINS m. Eliza Ann WAUGH in Lawrence Co., OH. in 1875. They had a son, Calvin Stewart COLLINS b. 1880 in Lawrence Co.,OH. The problem I am having is that I have been told that John Henry COLLINS was really born a PEPPER(s). While he was a young lad, his father died, and his mother remarried. This time to a COLLINS. This was presumably done without the legalities being taken care of. My question is, does anyone have a COLLINS-PEPPER(s) line in their family tree. It is probably COLLINS marrying a PEPPER widow, or it could have been a case where PEPPER is the maiden name of his mother, and she had him out of wedlock. Any help would be appreciated as I have researched this line for over 10 years. Thanks, Robert Johnson Mobile, AL
