For those of you that are not on the Cox family list you probably do not know about the interesting genealogy networking that is going on. It has to do with Thanksgiving. We are all reviewing ancestors and asking questions to see if anyone has answers to some of the questions or the mystery that we are trying to solve. Consider the following: Who would you invite to your Thanksgiving Dinner? Me? I would invite Old Joseph Collins, James Collins, and Jesse Collins of Bertie County. I would ask the following questions: Is James really your son? Who is his mother and when was he born? Jesse, did you know that you had a gg nephew that bore your family name and that his grandson also bares your name. Do you all know that this same Jesse Collins named his son Jesse Collins because only the name of Jesse Collins would due for the lineage of the Collins men? During this Thanksgiving season I am truly thankful that I have married into this family of Collins with its mystery, its patriots of Joseph and John that dared to defy the King of England himself to help this great nation be formed, and all generations of family and genealogist that I have found doing this research.
