I am searching for any information on NARCISSA COLLENS b: about 1803 in North Carolina. Married to MILTON MCCLELLAN January 1825 in Cabarrus Co. N.C. I have a copy of the marriage bond. Census of Mitchell Co. N.C. 1840 and 1850---Grassy Creek District. Then she disappears. Not on census of 1860 with her family in McDowell Co. N.C. Last known residence of her husband was census of 1900, he was living in the household of their son JOHN MCCLELLAN in Grassy Creek, N.C. at the age of 99 years. Milton McClellan is believed to be buried in the PENDLEY cemetary outside of Spruce Pine N.C. Family oral history is that NARCISSA COLLENS was Cherokee, but there is no record to prove it. Her name is not found on any of the Indian Rolls--I have all of them and i have searched them carefully. I would like to find her parents and her place of birth, or possible some siblings, any record would be helpful, any suggestons from listers also. Narcissa Collens McClellan is my great-great grand mother. Thank you.
