    3. A little tip for you..Look in all the counties surrounding Fulton Cty. County lines changed and were renamed. The records stayed in the area that was original. fawn ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandra Larson To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 12:02 PM Subject: [COLLINS] Colins, please come That is how I would start my invitation if I could extend one to my Collins line, but who would I include? All I know is Elizabeth Collins, my g-grandmother, was born March 1857 in NC (1900 census, Fulton Co.,GA). She was married in Monroe Co., TN on 24 Nov 1874 to Henry Cowden/Crowden. I have checked (by census) all the Collins I could find in Monroe in a 20 yrs span. For 1870 I found a Sim Collins 43, wife Rachel 42, Elizabeth 13 (the right age), Samuel 11 yrs old, Caroline 9, William 7, Nancy 4, Robert 3, Harriett Susan 7 months. The census taker said they were all born in GA (room for error there). I cannot find these people before or after that anywhere so far. For 1880, I found a John Collins 55 yrs old, wife Elizabeth 43, Martha 17, and Samuel J. 14 yrs old, the census says all were born in NC and they were living two doors from Elizabeth Collins Cowden's father-in-law Preston Cowden/Crowden. I can't find them again anywhere yet either. Elizabeth Cowden named her children, John, Samuel, James and Guy (my grandfather), daughter's Margaret and Effie Mae, she also had one son who did not live. Margaret moved to TX and Effie to Boston. The table would be full if all were invited and the mystery would be solved. Of course, I am sure there are many who would love to have them join them so perhaps just having my g-grandmother Elizabeth there would work. Happy Holidays.
