Hello. I'm Sherry. I'm new to computers and newer still to genealogy on computers, and have some research accomplished, but still have a ways to go. Hope we can help each other. My great-grandfather was John William Collins. He was supposed to have fought in the Civil War at a very young age; He passed away at the age of 96 at his daughter's (my grandmother, Esther May "Stella" Cross) home about Nov. 20, 1935. Two other daughter's that I know of at this time: was Mrs. Rosa Tharp of Tulsa & Mrs. Anna Allen, Berryville, Ark.; three sons: Will Collins of Bronson, KS, Tom Collins of Hockerville and Charles Collins of St. Louis. My grandmother's home was in Picher, OK. My great-grandfather was buried in Miami, OK G.A.R. cemetary. His wife's name was Debra Ann Alberta Josephine Belcher Collins. . I have some wives, children in connection. I would like to hear from anyone who thinks there may be a connection. I'll be glad to add what information I have. Hope this helps us both.
