It's really fun to see someone's info that looks familiar! There are so-o-o many Collins families out there, and I am from one of them. My ggg-grandfather was Joseph Brigham Collins, brother of Jonas Ball Collins, who was the father of Slaughter Jonas and Salvin Wythe Collins (must have been named after his uncle, Salvin Barnes Collins), as well as America Collins, and Nancy Jane Collins. Jonas Ball Collins married Eleanor Hixa Brisco April 28, 1833 in Warrick Co., IN. She was the daughter of William Briscoe and Sally. I have received a lot of information this past 6 months from another Collins descendant in CA about Jonas and Joseph's brothers and sisters. Joe Cornwell, another descendant of Jonas Ball Collins, (Salvin Wythe was his gg-grandfather, I think) has a webpage where I found the info on Jonas Ball Collins. I have quite a bit of information about the Morse and Stow lines too, including lineage linking these same Morses with Presidents Taft, Bush, Coolidge, and Nixon.
