The Journal-News (Hamilton OH) Friday July 17, 1998, Page A8 - Maggie Smith Collins, age 67, of Hamilton, died at the Fort Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital at 8:35 a.m. on July 16, 1998. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky, on July 8, 1931, the daughter of Irvin & Lizzie (WAGERS) Smith. She was educated in Clay County, Kentucky, and she married :Luker Collins on May 7, 1947 in Clay County, Kentucky. She was a cook for the Hicklory Hut for five years. She was amember of the Hamilton Vinyard Church, and a very active member of the Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Luker Collins; children, C.B. Collins and his wife Debra, Myrtle Kniseley and her husband, Robert, and Jimmy L Collins, all of Hamilton, Barbara Fletcher and her husband, James of Woodbridge, Virginia, Ronnie Collins, Randy Collins and his wife, Kristie, and Bobby L. Collins and his wife, Jacqueline, all of Hamilton; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, J.B. Smith, Frank Smith, Charlie Smith, all of Seymour, Indiana, and Joe Smith of Manchester, Kentucky; a sister, Gertrude Mills of Manchester, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, George Glenn Collins; and brothers, George P; Taylor and Junior Smith; and a sister, Opal Tester. Funeral Services will be held at the Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. Monday, with Pastor Joseph Burns officiating. Visitation will be held at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South D Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, and at the Britton Funeral Home in Manchster, Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Goose Rock, Kentucky Cemetery.
