Hoping someone can help me with my Collins Family of Gordon Co. GA. Benjamin F Collins b May 1814 in GA (according to all the census) died after 1900 Rachel Collins b 1814, (could this be Rachel Pennell who married Benjamin F Collins, 11 August 1832, in Hall Co. GA?) Children: John Collins b 1834 Georgia A Collins b 1840 James Collins b 1841 Nancy Jane Collins b 05 October 1845 (Married Thomas Vaughn of Bartow Co. GA) Sarah Josephine Collins b 1851 Mary C Collins b 1854 George Sanford "Bud" Collins b 28 Nov. 1856, married Teresa Floyd of Bartow Co. GA I have found at the Family History Center that most of the children if not all were born in Cass Co. GA. On the 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900 Census they are listed as living in Sonora, Gordon County GA. My question is since Sonora is close to the Bartow/Cass county line was it at one time in Cass County? On the 1880 and 1900 Census there was a William Hughes living with Benjamin Collins and is listed as a grandson. Which of the daughter's married a Hughes? I would appreciate any information on any of this Collins family. I will be happy to share what information I have. Marie Long
