I have had a couple people contact me about this John W. Collins. This one married Nancy ROARK; mine married Mary "Polly ROARK. At one time I thought they were the same and the wives names were mixed up but after much research I found this was not the case. Maybe someone can connect to him and contact Sally Martenez According to my records, John Wesley Collins was the son of james Collins b. 1794 in Russell Co. VA. and Elizabeth lewis. John Wesley was b. 2/2/1825 d. 8/27, 1907 he married nancy roark b. 4/6/1835 d. 4/21/l909. they were married March 10, 1855. This info is from the bible of Smith Collins one of his 15 children. I believe I have heard that this family had lived in Pike Co before moving to Letcher County, KY. JOHN WESLEY had 11 siblings. Their names are: Euley, Pursilla, nathaniel, Thomas, Mary, William , Robert, James Madison , and Benjamin Tivis (who died young). William Collins also had a daughter named Eula.
