I am seeking information all along this COLLINS family. My ggg grandfather was John COLLINS, born about 1795 Virginia, married Elizabeth JOHNSON, 17 October 1817 Pendleton County, Kentucky. His father may have been James COLLINS. Elizabeth JOHNSON was born in Kentucky and possibly the daughter of Nelson JOHNSON. Their son was Ogilvie "OGilby" COLLINS, born 5 December 1830 in Fayette County, Kentucky, married Mary Ann Cheatham on 23 Aug. 1849 in Lewis County, Missouri. Ogilvie served as a Private in Company "D" of the 69th Enrolled Missouri Militia, and was a blacksmith and Preacher. He died 1913 in Lewis County, Missouri. Mary Ann CHEATHAM was born on 5 May 1831 in Kentucky and was the daughter of Archibald CHEATHAM and Ester HARE. Mary Ann died in 1916 in Lewis County, Missouri. They had children: Oliver Wendell COLLINS, William F COLLINS, John M. COLLINS and Ella M.COLLINS. Ella married Edward PORTER. Ogilvie and Mary Anns son Oliver Wendell COLLINS was born on 1853 at Monticello, Missouri and died on 1947 at Napa, Canyon County, Idaho. He married Nancy Francis WAGGENER on 1874 in Lewis County, Missouri. Nancy Frances was the daughter of Simeon Green WAGGENER and Rachel MCALISTER. Oliver W. and Nancy Francis had 10 children of whom 3 survived: Henry Herbert COLLINS born on 1877 in Lewis County Missouri and died 1941, married his cousin Martha Velora WAGGENER born 1881 and died 1949; Roy George COLLINS born 1889, married Nellie __, and had a child named Margaret. They inherited the farm in Canyon County, Idaho, from Oliver. Possible other surviving child was Simeon COLLINS. Henry Herbert COLLINS and Martha Velora WAGGENER had six children: Harold, Ara Frances, Russell O., Nera Mae, Betty Elizabeth, and Richard Benjamin, all deceased. Thanks for your help.
