The following was furnished by Charles Collins , of Dorchester, VT: 1. John Collins emigrate from the North of England to Nova Scotia about 1744, bringing of his family a son. 11. John, who was born in England in 1730. Afterwards he with his father started to come through the wilderness of the Colony of Connecticut, but the father died before he reached Connecticut. John married Phoenix Austin, by whom he had eight children, all born in Salisbury, Conn. Among others was 111. Nathaniel, who married Elizabeth Lawrence, of Norwalk, Conn.
