My most elusive COLLINS is Absolom Paul COLLINS, born in 1878. We don't know where he was born or who his parents were. He married Olive Myrtle FISHER, born 21 APR 1887 in Guthrie Center, IA. I have a lot of information on the FISHER line. Absolom and Olive married on 25 DEC 1904 at Winchester, KS. Absolom, Olive and their six-month-old daughter, Irene, moved by covered wagon to western Kansas in May of 1906, where they homesteaded 15 miles northwest of Sharon Springs, Wallace Co., KS. They lived there until their children were grown and married. Then, in 1936 they moved to Idaho, where Absolom Paul COLLINS passed away in 1938. Olive Myrtle (FISHER) COLLINS then moved back to Kansas. We don't know where in Idaho Absolom Paul COLLINS lived or died or where he is buried. His name has variously been spelled Absolom, Absolam, Absolem, Absalam, etc. The LDS Family History Center shows him as being born in Guthrie Co., IA, but that information is in parenthesis, and I think that means an assumption was made about his place of birth because of the birthplace of his wife.
