Gemont Graves of Middlebury, VT: I. Thomas Collins had two wives. Nothing else is known of him. He had children by his first wife, 1 Jeremiah , a farmer. Married. Died probably in Lanesboro or Adams, Mass 2.Joseph, a seaman . Died probably at sea 3.Sarah, married Dea. Benj Baily. Lived and died in Ira, VT. 4. Diodama, married Rufus Calvin. Lived in Ira, VT., and in Western, New York. II. Thomas Collins Jr., was a son by his second wife. Born in Rhode Island *Married Lydia Haskins(Hopkins) . Lived in Lanesboro, Mass., and in Nova Scotia. Came to Vermont from Nova Scotia, about 1779-80. Died in Ira, VT., March 25, 1793. His children were. 1. Benoni. Lived in Scituate, Rhode Island. Died in Ira, Vt..(married Lydia Wilmarth)this is my line 2 John , died in Lima, New York 3 Phoebe married Cephas Carpenter 4.Elizabeth , married David Roberts. Died in Whiting, Vt., 1813 5. Hannah, married Benj Foster. Died in Moriah, N.Y. 6 Amy, married Benj. Carr. Died in Moriah , N.Y. 7. Sally , married Lemuel Roberts, Died in Western, N.Y. 8. Nathan, married Keziah Carpenter. Lived and died in Ira, Vt. 9.Lydia, married Jason Newton. Died in Ira, Vt., 1796. 10.Thomas 3rd, married Margaret Robinson. Lived and died in Ira, Vt. 11.Rosamond, married Dr. Jonathon Shepherd. Died in Fort Ann, N.Y., April 1840 12. Rhoda, died in her youth. 13. Joseph, born in Lanesboro, Mass, Oct 19, 1775, lived in Ira, Vt., and North Granville, N.Y., died in Fort Ann, N.Y., Sept 30, 1849. I will post them at a later date.
