    3. ?Mye Goodye Cosynes, I am not sure of some of the years and any ocr errors. I can only expect that as one gets into these Markham, Locke, Eldred, Collins, Turner, lines etc., In Norfolk, there was a company for 'Worsted Weavers', and one can basically call them 'Master Weavers'. Well before 1600, things were going from very good to bad, an they also 'imported' workers from Europe or the 'Low Countries'. There were also people from France. I am not sure just yet, but this might be separate Daniel Marcon ?. The other Marcon family were basically weavers and married high and were rich it seems. [... for Daniel Marcon, a poor French protestant, ditto; for Peter Chemineau...]: http://books.google.co.za/books?id=dYtnAAAAMAAJ&q=Daniel+Marcon&dq=Daniel+Marcon&hl=en&ei=GCfETNn0C-KM4gab5vG5Aw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCoQ6AEwAA === 1578: William Eldred, ye elder, & Alice Newell, w Richard Eldred & Helene Newell 1590: John Aylmer & Sarah Loke Ambrose Eldred & Jone Pricke Henry White & Annie Emmes 1604: William Eldred, elder, w., & Barbara Cooper, of Wralton [?], w. . .26 July 1604 1605: James Turner, w., & Dorathie Slappe James Turner, w., & Dorathie Slappe Robert Turner & Anne Key Henry Bird & Alice Kinge Peter Norton & Dorathe Turner, w. James Ames & Susanah Duck === Eldred, John, Alderman of London, born at New Buckenham ; a great Traveller, visited Babylon 1583 ; he died aged 80, and was buried at Great Saxham, Suffolk, where his son erected a monument to his memory, in 1632. Mr. Jonathan Wrench, vicar of Aylesham. === === I want to take the above list and make it shorter: === 1578: William Eldred, ye elder, & Alice Newell, w Richard Eldred & Helene Newell These should be part and parcel of the Eldred family we have been concerned with. 1590: John Aylmer & Sarah Loke Ambrose Eldred & Jone Pricke Henry White & Annie Emmes [John Aylmer & Sarah Loke]: This one stands out a lot and needs further review. 1609: Henry Chenye & Agnes Turner (!!!) 1617: Robert Sparke & Ruth Locke Margaret Gosling & Richard Withe David Turner & Alice Read I find this [Robert Sparke & Ruth Locke] one most curious to follow further. The Sparkes family is also in St. Peter le Poer London where merchant Daniel Collins is, who was b. in Bramford Suffolk where the Eldred and Acton families come in etc., and in London there, the Francklyn, Powell, Sparkes, Buxton, Coppin, families, and some to Earls Colne Essex. There is also one William Whitmore that associates with Bramford Suffolk. Gosling should probably be 'Josslen' ?. There will be a an extreme connection to many mayors of London. 1674: William Puncher & Mary Gurney Another one. 1687: Stephen Kemp & Margaret Hales John Neave, jun., & Ann Armes Edmund Adams & Mary Johnson Mr. William Gosling & Mrs. Susan Howse Thomas Smith & Ann Wily John Buxton & Ann Blith Mr. Elisha Phillipps & Mrs. Frances Garrould There is a lot here, it needs to be sorted. For Collins and Collings, one needs to read these surnames in context to other relevant refs. Kemp + Hales, Adams + Johnson, Gosling + Howse, Smith + Wily, Buxton + Blith, Phillipps + Garrould (Garrott?) etc. === The Eldred family m. into the Neville family, there must be a lot of royal lines lost around here. Side liner notes: Parish Thorington Suffolk: m:1666 Robt Sheapheard and Ann Marcon. Parish Thorington Suffolk: m:1583 Henry Marcon of Westleton widdower and Allice Corey. Peckover Alderman, by Prisca his Wife, who dying together with her Infant in Child-Bed, lies with it under this kinde Stone interr'd July 19, 1642, 31. She died in child birth, Matthew Marcon/Markham was Mayor of Norwich. The pulpit was given by R. Eldred, John, Alderman of London, born at New Buckenham ; a great Traveller, visited Babylon 1583 ; he died aged 80, and was buried at Great Saxham, Suffolk, where his son erected a monument to his memory in 1632. Stiffkey Norfolk is where that one Nathaniel Bacon of Stiffkey came from. === Thomas Cory was an Alderman of Norwich in 1636. When Oliver Cromwell, at the head of his troop of horse, entered Lowestoft at the commencement of the civil war, he made prisoners of all the leading royalists there, among whom was Thomas ... 1615: Rev. John Carter, Vicar of Bramford. William Acton, Portman. Geo. Acton, Portman. John Acton, Portman. 1690: Nathaniel Lee Acton Esq. William Acton, portman; who died in 1616, aged 76. This was erected by John Acton, his son, who resided at Bramford, and was high sheriff for the county. George Sparrowe, late citizen and grocer of London, second son of William Sparrowe, Portman of Ipswich, died 11 Dec. 1599. ''The Red Lion'' and ''The White Horse'', seem to be possibly play houses in or near Norwich Norfolk too. Many links will be found from Norfolk to London. Somehow this so far, doesn't seem to be the Markham of Earls Colne. Not yet. Whilst I am in the circle of related persons, I think I must reconsider what it is I am missing here with regards the Markham of Earls Colne. === - S.K.M. - [!!!] =========================
