    1. Re: [COLLINS] Hezekiah Collins 1810-1886
    2. Hi, Alice: Thank you for the information...this Hezekiah is clearly not the ancestor I am looking for, but it could be someone older than he (uncle, cousin, grandfather?), certainly, and I find it at least interesting that they had the same unusual name! This may be the lead I need for previous generations! Thank you! I will send you a separate request for the Collins file you mentioned. Thanks again, Laura -----Original Message----- From: Alice Sanders <sanders922@comcast.net> To: collins <collins@rootsweb.com> Sent: Fri, Oct 15, 2010 8:08 am Subject: Re: [COLLINS] Hezekiah Collins 1810-1886 Dear Laura and Jackie May I put in a two cents worth here? There is a Rev. War pension application record for a Hezekiah Collins. He said he served as a private in the Cont. line from Virginia, enlisting in Albermarle County, Virginia in 1777. He was applying for a pension from Union Township, Madison County, Ohio [14 May 1832]. His application was denied because no record of his name could be found as serving in Virginia. I hope this can help either or both of you.
