    3. I am looking for information on my great great great grandfather Peter Collins. According to family talebearers French Royalist refugees escaping France from the horrors of it's revolution shipwrecked off Lewes, Delaware, in route to Asylum Pennsylvania. The only known surviver was as infant, picked up on the beach in 1793 by a lighthouse keeper. This lighthouse keeper adopted the boy and gave him his name, Peter Collins. That is all I know about the lighthouse keeper. I do not know who my great great great grandfather married or how many children he had. The only child I do know about is my great great grandfather. His name is John P. Penrose Collins Born 11/23/1814, died 04/29/1893. He married Letty Marvel born 09/25/1810, died 02/11/1886. Both were burried in Union Cemetery, Georgetown, Delaware. John P. Penrose Collins and his wife Letty had at least eight children. Charles Henry Collins, Born 05/11/1843 in Georgetown Delaware and died 02/20/1901 in Wilmington, Delaware. He married Sara Ida Davis in 01/09/1872. These were my great grandparents. Other children by John P. Penrose Collins were Laura Collins. Laura married Theod. Freidenberger. Emma Collins, she married Christopher Oestreicher. Rachel Collins, she married Edward H. Trice in 02/10/1876. James Collins, he married someone by the name of Elizabeth. Edward Collins, he was unmarried and died at age twenty one. John Collins, born 1841, married Laura Evins in 10/04/1864. I have put in the birth, death and marriage dates that I know. I can go on through my grandfather's generation, and father's generation if some people are interested. If anyone has anything to add to my list of relatives please let me know. Vernon Holmes Collins Jr.
