I believe it is an excellent idea to post obituaries! Obituaries are public record and I don't forsee any legal complications resulting from the posting of public information. The name Pinkney Collins is interesting to me. I have a Pinkney W. Corbin born 2 Jun 1836 who married Catherine Collins 16 Oct 1856 in Russell Co., KY. Catherine was born 8 Dec 1835 in Adair Co., KY, the daughter of Thomas Collins and Nancy Ann Blakey. Knox Co., TN was the place that the Collins familly of Adair/Russell Counties, KY used when they wanted to elope. I don't have a Pinkney Collins in my data base but I can't help but wonder if he isn't part of this line because the name is unusual.
