I would like to connect with others researching the following Collings/Collins line: William Collings, born 28 Jan 1834, bapt 29 Jan 1834 in Bideford, Devon, England, son of John and Mary Collings. William immigrated in 1838 and married Mary Pelton on 29 Jan 1856 in Orange Cty, NY. He apparently used the name Collins after arriving in US. The family resided in NYC by 1860 and had the following children: Mary Frances Collins b 28 Oct 1858, died 16 Jun 1914 never married William Pelton Collins b 2 Apr 1859, married Maime Armenia Jones 29 May 1888, divorced between 1900-20, married 2nd Enid Dickinson Schultz, died 1929. Sarah Edith Collins b Mar 1863, died 2 Jan 1927, never married. John Griffith Collins b Feb 1866, probably married, no additional information. Maud Elizabeth Collins b 1868, marr bef 1900 to ____ Parsell, died 28 May 1929. Frederick Prance Collins b Jan 1870, died 1 Jun 1921. He married but I don't know when or to whom.
