    1. Harrison COLLINS
    2. Les, This is the family listing that I have for Harrsion: Harrison Collins b: 1818 Martha Ann Cyrus m: 1844-1845 Allen Collins b: 1848 in Cabell Co. WV John Collins b: 1849 in Cabell Co. WV James Collins b: 1852 in Lawrence Co. OH Romaine Collins (Female) b: 1859 in Lawrence Co. OH Effie Collins b: 1862 in Lawrence Co. OH Eugene Collins b: 1/29/1859 in Lawrence Co. OH d: 1/29/1930 Nancy Jane Kinder b: 10/20/1865 d: 11/12/1928 Erby Collins (Male) b: 1868 in Lawrence Co. OH d: 4/15/1890 in Cabell Co. WV As you can see, I didn't have the oldest chidlren, Amanda and William. Your list didn't have James and Romaine. Eliza Lyrus could have been Eliza Cyrus, a sister or relative of Martha Ann. The source for this line was done by a Cyrus researcher named John Mahey. His list has an Eliza Cyrus listed as being born in 1834. The last child listed, Eria, was named Erby on the Mahey list. He also notes that James was the first child listed in the 1870 Lawrence Co Oh census as being born in Ohio. Other than census listings, I don't have any other verification of Harrisons move to Ohio. The comment by Mahey about the Lawrence Co census leads me to believe that Harrison may have moved to that county first. Gallla and Lawrence counties have a common border and both are on the Ohio river across from Cabell Co WV. The Gallia county township, Guyan, in which Harrison is listed in 1880 is on the Lawrence Co. border. Further, the city limits of the village of Crown City is the county line. My ggrandfather Eugene and several of his children are buried in the Crown City cemetary. My mother believes that Harrison and Martha are buried in another cemetary just outside of the Village. Other members of my mother's family have moved back and forth between the two counties in past years so it would not be unusual for Harrison to have done the same. The names you've found in the census do generally correspond with my information. Maybe a look at the 1870 Lawrence Co Oh census will add another piece the the puzzle. Thanks for you efforts in chasing down this line for me. Bill
