I am in search of a John Collins, born around the mid to late 1860's who later around 1900 lived in New York City, NY on 9th Avenue. He was married (?) to an Annie Gawran (born around 1878). Their son was named Stephen, my grandfather,was put up for adoption shortly after his birth. I have no record of his parents other than his adoption papers and the fact that he was put on the Orphan Train and was adopted in Indiana. If anyone can shed some light on where I can look for information or may have a link to a Hohn Collins, Occupation-Boatman, who had an address in New York City (9th Ave) I would appreciate hearing from you.
