Adkins ANSTED -- Goldie Dell Adkins, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in an Ansted care center following a long illness. Born May 19, 1915, at Marfrance, she was the daughter of the late George and Susan Walkup COLLINS. Mrs. Adkins had lived in Ansted for 60 years, was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon W. Adkins; a daughter, Patsy Blair; three sons, Harmon Lee, Albert Rondal and Benjamin F. Adkins. Survivors include two daughters, Novella Johnson of Quinwood, Francis Rose of Ansted; five sons, Shirley D. Adkins of Ansted, Billy Joe Adkins of Machals, Maine, Virgil D. Adkins of Fayetteville, Danny L. Adkins of Tampa, Fla. and Jeff A. Adkins of Ansted; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor, with the Rev. Freddie Parkins officiating. Friends may call 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Ansted. Arrangements by Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted.
