Further to my earlier inqury about this man: he was born at Warren, Rhode Island ca. 1745 and died there ca. 1810; married at Warren ca. 1772 Hannah Turner; they had 3 children, including Capt. Charles Collins, born 1773, died 1845, married ca. 1800 Lydia Bradford; was Lt. Governor of Rhode Island 1824-1833. I'm looking particularly for confirmation of his parents, who may have been John and Mary Avery Collins; John Collins was a member of the Continental Congress 1777-1780 and was Governor of Rhode Island 1786-1790. I'm also interested in reliable source material for this Collins family. Fred Murphy (frpamu50@gmail.com)
