Was William from Ireland and did he work for the Hannibal & St. Joseph Railroad? If so, he may be a brother to Timothy Collins, my gggrandfather (1840?-1903)? According to census, Wm Murray Collins, b. ~ 1818, MD. Was a clerk; sons may have been clerks on the RR in TX. No clear understanding of his siblings .... Children: George; Thomas Harris; Lucy V.; Robert Samuel; James A. By 1870 family had left MO for TX. Thomas was in IL; George unk, but in IL 2 yrs earlier; James may have been in LA.
