Help! I'm stuck at my 3-g-parents! Mathew & Margaret Collins were both born somewhere in Ireland - Mathew in approximately 1828 and Margaret about 1830. They emigrated approx. 1852 with their infant daughter Mary (b. May 1850). Oral family history is very limited but it has them coming through Canada to settle in Worcester, Massachusetts. They were in Worcester by 1856 or so when they added to their family with Thomas (ca. 1856), William J. (b. August 1858 - my 2g-father), Frank (ca. 1860), and John (ca. 1861). Mathew died & was buried in Worcester, MA in 1864. Margaret died between 1880 and 1900 but I haven't figured out exactly when or where. My problem is that, I cannot locate Mathew, Margaret & Mary on any passenger list into the US - the lists into Canada for that period are almost nonexistent and I have no idea where to look for them on the other end. Mary married a Daniel Welch (b. January 1851, Massachusetts). Do any of my relatives hang off of your tree? If not, m! ight you have any suggestions on a next step? Thanks, Cathi Collins ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
