Charles ---Josiah---Belitha---Isaac----James A.----Thomas--James. I am looking for info about Charles Collins m. Elizabeth Chisley in Baltimore, Md. Feb. 12, 1806. He died at sea about 1817. They had 2 sons ---Stephen & ??? their mother place them in indenture because she was unable to care for them.
Jenelle, Try the WV rootsweb sites for following counties (lots of Collins families and most are related as the counties evolved overtime from parts of the others). Boone, Cabell, Lincoln, Logan, Wayne and Mason. Go to: _http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvgenweb_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvgenweb) This will bring up a list of the WV Counties and you can see how they evolved and when. Good Luck Barb in OH
Does anyone have John Collins b 1782-1858, who married Elizabeth possibly MOORE, and had (4) sons:- 1. John b 1810, 2. Charles b 1812. 3. Henry b 1813 4. George b 1815. I cannot find anything on the LDS site, most of the baptisms were at St. John's Hampstead. How early are the census, (I've pretty much lost mine trying to find Collins). Thank you. Jenelle [email protected]
In the 1830 Census for Jackson Co, Alabama, page 85 of 146 there are several Collins: Martin, b. 1830, SC James, b ~1780 to 1790 (living with James is a 60+ year old woman) Ann ?, wife of ? Collins, b. ~ 1780 to 1790 William Collins, b. ~1790 to 1800 also, William Gentry and John Gentry. John is likely married to Margaret Collins, b. 1805, TN I believe all of these Collins are brothers and sister and the older woman is the mother. Is anyone researching this group and can share information??

Shabbat Shalom.. My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another. Here is the prayer : I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Where there is pain, give them peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. Amen.
My gg-grandfather was James Collins. He was born in 1832 in Galway, Ireland. His father was Peter Collins. James may have had siblings named Timothy, Catherine or Mary. In 1850 James and his family lived in either Jersey City, NJ or Brooklyn, NY. James married my gg-grandmother Ann Collins (her real maiden name) in 1852 at St. Peter's Church in Jersey City. Ann's parents were Michael and Mary Collins. Ann Collins was born on 3/1835 in Ireland. Ann's siblings may also have been Timothy, Catherine or Mary. You can see the difficulty in sorting out siblings. Ann Collin's family also probably lived in either Brooklyn or Jersey City in 1850. I would appreciate any help in researching the 1850 US Census for either of these two Collins familes. I am trying to get information that will lead me to their exact birthplaces in Ireland. Thank you.

You may want to contact Clinton County, Ohio. Many, many children were fostered out and some adopted from the Children's Home there. You may be able to find out if your Leonard Collins was from there. I have Collins relation from Clinton county, however, no Leonard that I am aware of. Some of my relatives were fostered out and later adopted. Good luck. Joan/Ohio [email protected]

It has been a while since I have posted my Collins family so thought I would give it another try. William Richison Collins was most likely born late 1700 as he is reported to have inlisted in the war of 1812. He is reported to have inlisted in Virginia/W.Va. I believe his parents were Horation Collins and Abigail Richison. after the war he went to Ohio. I believe it was there he married Margaret Hutichinson. No info on her. Their children, order unknown: Elizabeth Nancy (1822) Mary E. William A. Margaret L. Enoch A. Julia M. Sallie M. Abigail Julia married Robert Emmet Smithson and most of the above information came via a kind Smithson researcher. Julia was a teacher all of her life and at least some of the time in Aurelius Twp. Ohio. Enoch was murdered in Mexico City Mo. at the age of 55. Abigail married Albert Perkins 1847. Elizabeth Jane? married James Mace 1841 Sallie married ? Matthews Nancy married Robert P. Dilley, they lived in Washington co. Ohio. I has been a while since I have had any new bits of information or names to follow. I would like to find something on the Hutchinson line and on any of the children.
