Hello Jan, sorry I can't help you with your Daniel Collins. My Collins line was in Pike Co KY ( early Floyd Co.) from 1809-1840 when my Meredith Collins died. As per the Dillon, my husband's folks came from Ireland ( Dillon and Doolan) where they got kicked out of the country for stealing horses....or so I am told. Brenda Collins Dillon
This is something I am working on at present....hope to find someone else with information. " The last of the Saponi Indians in Orange Co. Va, were names in a 1742-43 court case in which they were charged with hog stealing and burning the woods. They were found guilty and ordered to leave the county." They were Alexander MACHARTION, john Bowling, Maniassa, Capt Tom, Issac Harry, Blind Tom, Foolish Jack, Charles Griffin, John COLLINS, and Little Jack ( Virginia Magazine of History & Biography vol3,#2(1895),p 190 ) Does anybody know where they went from there?
