I am expanding on the information previously provided, in case that gives additional clues. My greatgrandfather, Fred Harvey Collins born 1882, was listed in the Los Angeles CA city directory of 1910 as a grading engineer, which I believe is connected to the mining industry. He died in the White Mts of Arizona in about (my estimate)1926, while on vacation from work in the mines of Globe-Miami Arizona.He married a girl, Maud Yake, from Park City UT, which at the time was a mining center. I have reason, therefore, to believe that he travelled around a lot, in the mining industry. His children were Fred Harvey Collins, jr, and my mother Alice Edith Collins (Or Edith Alice). After his death, my mother attended Mooseheart in IL, a school for orphans of members of the Loyal Order of MOOSE. Fred Harvey was I believe a lifelong member of the Moose. Marby had a Fred Collins in her family, and Shannon had a Harvey, while the others had MO connections. According to my mother's birth certificate and census data, her father's mother was born in IL, and her father's mother was born in MO. I am searching for info about my maternal grandfather, Frank Collins. This is what I have found so far. Frank Collins was born to Frank and Elizabeth Collins of Greenville, PA in 1894. Unfortunately, there are three Greenville's in Pennsylvania. I have found Collin's in Greenville, Mercer County but cannot locate the right family there. Frank Collins married my grandmother, Beatrice Jarvis, on Nov. 5, 1917 in Norfolk, VA where he was stationed while serving in the Merchant Marines. That is the full scope of my information.
