We had to be in Philippines for a Tour..the program was successful, but our journey has turned sour. We misplaced our wallets and cell phones on our way back to the hotel after we went for sight seeing. The wallet contains all the valuables we have. Now, our luggage is in custody of the hotel management pending when we make payment. I am sorry if i am inconveniencing you, but I have only very few people to turn to now. I will be very grateful if I can get a short term loan of ($2,450) from you. This will enable me sort our hotel bills and get my sorry self back home. Reply: I have research for my line on Collins being in Virginia in the mid to late 1600s. My ancestor, proven for sure, was born in the beginning of the 1700s. He name was Joseph, There is a strong possibility he parent was James and grandparent Thomas. Don't know about any ship. would like to know the dates and ships they arrived on if you know. Need a clue about the times that any Collins arrived in U.S. at least it is a place to start. I have been able to only pick up relatives in Kansas. Any help appreciated. Hi list, Would like to hear from anyone with Collins kin from Co. Clare? In particularly, around Kilkee & Kilrush? My branch emigrated to St. Louis, MO & settled in Davenport, IA. Please note, these are only suggestions for your own research, and you should confirm this information for yourself. ================== This Elizabeth W. Collins would appear to be Elizabeth Wallingford Collins, daughter of FATHER: Shirley Collins, born 1875, died 1921, son of Lewis DeBell Collins. MOTHER: Stella Catherine Wallingford, born 1878, died 1929. All are buried in Fleming County Cemetery, Plot Section E, between 1st and 2nd Wagon Roads. ================ The best candidate for the other Elizabeth Collins of which you inquired would appear to be sister (listed as "Betsy") to a John Collins in the 1900 census: 1900 Census: Kentucky, Mason County, Sardis Family # 176 Collins, John (age 86, born Oct. 1813) Eliza (wife) (age 75, born Jan 1825) Amelia (dgtr) (age 47, born May 1853) Charles (son) (age 52, born Aug 1847) John (son) (age 48, born June 1851) *BETSY (sister) (age 83, born Oct. 1816)* Pearlie (granddgtr) (age 26, born Feb 1874) Nettie (granddgtr) (age 21, born Oct. 1878) Based on Ancestry World Tree and other sources, she and John would the children of John Collins, born 1780, Pennsylvania who married Permilia Tribby in 1808 in Fleming County, Ky. "Elizabeth" "Betsy" "Eliza" was probably born more about 1825, rather than 1816, based on earlier census records: 1850 Census, Fleming County, KY: She is listed with her father John Collins (b. 1780, Penn), and she is listed as born 1825, Ky. 1860 Census, Fleming County, KY: John Collins (born 1780, Penn) is living with John and Sarah Dotey. In 1860, I do not immediately find Elizabeth Collins. 1870 Census, Elizaville, Fleming County, KY: Elizabeth Collins (born 1818, Ky) is living with John Doty and Sarah Doty. 1880 Census, Elizaville, Fleming County, KY: Eliza Collins (born 1825, Ky) is living with her sister Sarah Doby(?), who is now a widow. ====================== Roger Collins On 04/23/2013 10:06 PM, Robbintina Harrison wrote: > Does anyone have any information on this Elizabeth W.
