Smith Fullerton Smith Fullerton, son of John M.and Lydia Fullerton, was born in Madison township, Scioto County, Jun 6 1836, and died inthis county May 28, 1923, at the age of 87 years. He was united in marriage to Nancy Graham January 13 1859, and this union one chile, Mrs. Mary Kent, who survives, was born.After the death of his first wife,he was married to Rachel ColegroveJanuary 25, 1866. To this unionsix children were born: Ida, whodied in infancy; John S. who diedNovember 18, 1906, in Peoria, Ill.;Alonzo of Decantur, Ill.; Clarenceof Hammond, Ill.; Mrs. Alta Yost of Sciotoville, and Alva of Minford.After the passing of his secondwife he was married a third time toEmaline Brame, February 14, 1893.Mrs. Fullerton and one daughter bornof this union, Mrs. Osie Hazel Walls,of Lucasville, also survive. Ofsix brothers, three are living alongwith two sisters. They are Garrett of Boise City, Idaho, John of Weldon,Ill., Allen of Kansas, Mrs. Lydia Starr of Bonnie, Ill., and Mrs. Susan Graham of Stockdale. ElizabethAdams of Mindord, who died one yearago, was also a sister. Mr. Fullertonalso leaves 23 grandchildren and 6great grandchildren.He spent his entire life in thecomminity near his birthplace andwas a well known and respected farmer. Mr. Fullerton united with the Baptist church in early life and continued in that faith until death.
