Mrs. Abigail Brooks Mrs. Abigail Brooks, 83, of 1219 McConnell av. died at 2:20 p.m. Friday at Ports-mouth General Hospital after suffering a stroke. She wasadmitted as a patient threenights before.She was born Oct. 20, 1865, at Minford, a daughter of Ezra and Mary Colegrove Snyder.She was married first to William Rowley, who died in 1893.In 1904, she was wed to SamuelBrooks, who also preceded herin death in 1929.Surviving are two sons, JesseRowley, 1416 Spring st. andFrank Rowley, 1765 Poplar st.Two sons, two brothers, and asister also are deceased.Mrs. Brooks was a member of Central Christian Church and of the women's auziliary ofthe Brotherhood of LocomotiveFiremen.Funeral services will be heldMonday at 1 p.m. at EmrickFuneral Home, with Harry F.Hannum minister of Central Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.
