--The funeral services of Mrs.Irving Chase were held Mondayat the First Baptist church conducted by the pastor Rev.Charles F. Rogers who spoke words of hope and comfort tothe sorrowing family taking ashis text "My presence shall gowith thee and I will give theerest." No fitter tributecould be paid the departed thanthe words of Solomon found in Prov. 31:10-31 and read by Mr.Rogers. Mrs. Chase has lived her entire life in the town ofEdmeston and was well knownand held in the highest esteemby all. She was teh daughter of Dorrand Ruth Talbot Colgrove and wasborn March 2, 1856. Fourtyyears ago she was married toIrving Chase who with two sonsWorth of Edmeston and Vane ofLeonarfsville and one daughter,Mrs. Clayton Welch, survive her;also two grand children and a host of relatives and friends.Interment was made in the familyplot at Edmeston.Among those from away who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Vane Chase of Leonardville, Chester Fiske and wife from Clayville, DavisPierce and wife of Bridgewater,Eugene Chase, Mrs. ElizabethMitchell, Fredd Hickling, wifeand three children, Mrs. Raymond Dutton, Mrs. HayesWelch and Lynn Colgrove ofEdmeston, Arba Talbot and wife,Leon Talbot adn wife and DanielTalbot and wife of North Edmeston, Ulysess Talbot andwife of Burlington Flats, MileFenton and wife, Mrs. ClarenceCrumb and Mrs. Martha Maine ofLeonardsville, Mr. and Mrs.Elbert Welch of ColumbusQuarter.
