Joseph Colgrove, a well knownfarmer of this town, living about 3 miles south east ofClyde, met with what is feared to be a fatal accident last week Friday afternoon. he drove to the Noble plant eastof this village with a load ofapples. While waiting for them to be weighted he steppedinside one of the buildings and fell headfirst to the floor below, a distance of 16feet. His skull was crushed in, and so badly that the doctors give no hopes of recovery. Mr colgrove was picked up unconscious. Dr.George S. Allern was called and the injured man was taken to the Lyons Hospital,where at this writing, he lies at the point of death.
