    2. This family (with son) is listed as living in Academy Corners, Tioga, PA, USA in 1900 and then in Deerfield, Tioga County, PA, USA for the 1910, 1920, and 1930 census enumerations. She is listed with her parents in the 1870 census enumeration of Chatham, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, USA. The Wellsboro Agitator (Wellsboro, PA) Wednesday, March 18, 1942 The Late Mrs. Ida Boom Ida Boom, daughter of Willett and Catherine Smith Colegrove, was born in Farmington, June 26, 1864. In 1866, they moved to a farm near Osceola where she resided until November 1935, when she moved to Keeneyville, where she died Feb., 19, 1942. She taught school for several years. On April 12, 1893, she was married to Herman Boom of Knoxville. One son Ehle, was born to them. Mr. Boom died March 9, 1935. She was an active member of the W.C.T.U. for nearly 25 years and had held local and county offices. In June 1936, she was instrumental in organizing a W.C.T.U at her home in Keeneyville. From a membership of ten, she saw it increase to 41 at the time of her death. She was president for 5 years. In the five and two-thirds years she never missed a meeting (68 in all). This union won the standard of excellence and also the "Gold star" certificate. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Osceola, Middlebury Grange, and was a seventh degree member of the National Grange. She is survived by her son, one brother, Herman colegrove, of Knoxville; one niece and four nephews.
